Violet Backed Starling (Cinnyricinclus leucogaster)

also known as the Amethyst starling, the Violet-backed Starling is a small species of starling native to the woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. Like most birds this spiecies is strongly sexually dimorphic as males are a beautiful plum and white color and females are a boring wood thrush like color.
